Service Description

DOT drug tests are regulated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and other DOT agencies according to CFR49 part 40; FMCSA, FAA, FRA, FTA, MARAD. These tests are designed to ensure that safety-sensitive employees, such as commercial drivers, are not impaired by drug use. The tests are standardized and must follow strict protocols to maintain accuracy and integrity. Substances Tested The DOT drug test screens for the following five substances: -Marijuana (THC) -Cocaine -Opiates (including heroin, codeine, and morphine) -Amphetamines (including methamphetamine) -Phencyclidine (PCP) Reasons for testing: Pre-Employment Testing: Required before a new employee can perform safety-sensitive duties. Random Testing: Conducted on a random basis throughout the year. Post-Accident Testing: Required after certain types of accidents. Reasonable Suspicion Testing: Based on observable signs of drug use. Return-to-Duty Testing: For employees returning to work after a violation. Follow-Up Testing: Required after return-to-duty testing, as part of a follow-up program.
